Install the plugin

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Choose the chatnexus.zip you downloaded, click Install Now, then Activate.

Create your agent

Log in to chatnexus.cloud, create an agent (or use an existing one), then open it and go to Agent Settings → Embed to copy your Agent ID.

Connect in WordPress

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Settings → ChatNexus. Paste your Agent ID, choose bottom-right or bottom-left position, and click Save. Your AI chat widget appears on every page instantly.

In the ChatNexus dashboard, open your agent and go to Agent Settings → Embed. Your Agent ID is shown there — copy and paste it into Settings → ChatNexus in your WordPress dashboard.
Disable "Auto-inject Widget" in Settings → ChatNexus, then add the [chatnexus_chat] shortcode only to the pages where you want it.
The widget script loads asynchronously (async attribute) and only after your page is fully loaded. It has no impact on Core Web Vitals.
